"very relaxing to stay out of busy Dublin city centre"
Best Western Sheldon Park Hotel is located in a suburban area. It takes 25 minutes from Abbey street (city centre) to Kylemore Street station on Luas (tram) and 3 minutes walk to the hotel from there.
The room was clean, spacious and quiet. The best part of this hotel was the swimming pool next door. Pool was clean and big. Sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi were also great.
Sheldon Park was really good for a 3 star hotel and offered a great value for money. It was also very relaxing to stay out of busy Dublin city centre.

"Not within walking distance of the city centre "
Best Western Sheldon Park Hotel is located on the southside of the city close to the M50 motorway which comes from the airport. Not within walking distance of the city centre but a few minutes from the LUAS railway which takes you into the city. As it is on the outskirts of the city there are no nearby restaurants. The lift did not work but as it only has 2 floors it was not much of a problem.

"OMG - best stay ever"
My girlfriend and me stayed in the Sheldon Park Hotel for 4 nights at the beginning of April. After we booked it, we noticed some of the reviews and we nearly changed our minds. However it turned to be the best trip ever. The hotel is lovely and cosy, the staff is most friendly and helpful, the leisure centre is superb, the hotel was not noisy at all and the tram station is located just 3 minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel is located in a very quiet area, and there is a McDonalds just across the road.

"An Aniversary to remember"
An unexpected surprise, my husband had booked this Hotel for our aniversary - not a special one, just a couple of nights away from the children!! On arrival we found the staff very courteous, and willing to do all they could to make our stay memorable. On Saturday after a splendid lunch,my husbank enjoyed the remainer of the afternoon watching Irelands defeat in rugby, I availed of the adjacent Leisure Centre, with swimming pool and sauna, followed by some treats in the Beauty Salon. Again the staff were helpful and informative. We had a celebration dinner that evening, with a good choice of menu, and wine. Will definately keep this Hotel in mind for future return visits to Dublin.

: "Great Little Get Away"
My husband and I stayed here for two nights in July, 2004. We thought it was a great location. We had a rental car, so the trip to downtown Dublin was not bad. It's not a pretty location, I'll give you that - but it was nicely situated midway from downtown to the airport. There was a convenient gas station at hand. Loved the Leisure Centre. And even though we left our swimming trunks and bathing suit in our room and never got them back - we still enjoyed our visit (we're always leaving SOMETHING behind in a hotel room!). The breakfast was yummy! We both would stay there again AND recommend it.
