"First Class"
Having stayed at the Fitzpatrick Castle in feb 2005, decided to have my 40th birthday weekend there with 11 other ladies!.
Just got back from a fantastic weekend.
Couldnt fault any member of staff, all very friendly, very helpful, nothing was too much trouble.
Our rooms were all clean & spacious.
The breakfast was excellent, and our meal in the Dungeon Bar & Grill was faultless.
Leisure facilities were great, good size pool, steamroom and sauna, the gym looked well equipt but we didint have time to sample it, too busy in the bar.
We also thought that for a hotel the price of drinks in the Library Bar were very reasonable, ( we did drink rather a lot!)
A very big thank you from all 12 of us for what was and will be a very pleasant memorable break.
We will be back! Just need an excuse.
A great hotel for all ages.

"Loved it!"
Staff was extremely friendly. Beautiful spacious room. It is pretty secluded and it's about a 10 minute walk to the train station to get to Dublin but nonetheless great hotel!

"Fit for king!"
I think this was our fourth stay here within 12 months.
If I am going to be critical at all, and it's a real struggle to do so, the down side to this hotel is it's price. Slightly expensive but given it's standards, staff, location, accomodation and spa with pool, you could argue you get what you pay for.
Excellent example of Irish hospitality at it's very very best.
I defy anyone to sit in extremely comfortable lounge with a pint of Guinness and not be overtaken by the great atmosphere.
While you here please don't miss out on a walk through the village of Dalkey at the foot of the hill. It's just as much a treat as the hotel. Great resteraunts (an indian and italian to die for), superb book store and at the end of the main street a little health food shop which hides a superb coffee bar that serves the best muffins ever.
The hotel and location so pleased that when it came time to select a venue for my daughter's 21st Birthday Party in Feb. 07 we didn't have to think long at all. Can't wait to get back.
All in all an Irish gem. Highly recommended.

"Fitzpatrick Castle - wonderful hotel"
My husband and I (plus three teenagers) stayed here for a week in October 2004 - we had a wonderful stay. The hotel was super - rooms spacious and clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The superior rooms were well worth the extra - two double beds, sofa and plenty of room. Bathrooms were well equipped. The breakfast was fairly expensive but of good quality with plenty of choice. Dalkey village was lovely: lots of restaurants to choose from in the evening - we particularly enjoyed the Queens, and the pizza restaurant opposite. We dined at the hotel one evening, in the basement restaurant, which was also very good. There is a good DART rail link to Dublin from Dalkey - the walk into the village is fine, but the pull back up the hill after a hard day's sightseeing is a killer! If you want to stay away from the bustle of Dublin, but within fairly easy reach, this hotel is thoroughly recommended. I would definitely stay there again.

"Will stay here again"
We checked in just before lunch and our room was ready! The staff was so happy to see us and accommodating. Beautiful grounds and in a great location. Only a 15 min walk to the town of Dalkey. Very charming. The food and service was outstanding!! The best part was the bed! Big soft and comfey! Had down comforter and pillows. Very quite too! Lovely hotel and excellent staff!! Five stars for sure!!

"Effortless Care and Attention to Detail"
We have had the most marvellous time in Fitzpatricks celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary - I had asked for a bottle of champers for our room but was pleasantly surprised when we also received a personal note of welcome from the manager, wishing us a happy anniversary! This set the tone for our weekend as we were greated by the best if Irish warmth and hospitality, with none of the posturing and synthetic interest that pervades som many hotels in Dublin (and I include the supposedly 5* Berkely Court and Jurys Towers here!!)
Genuine people, all ensuring you have a great time, but never encroaching or invading your personal privacy.
The pool/spa and gym are unusually well equipped and sumptuous for a hotel, reflecting the nature of this hotel as a cornerstone of the local (welcoming) community.
Both the formal PJs restaurant and the grill Dungeon produced superb modern menus with 'real' food and local produce, teh wine list is comprehensive and reasonably priced and the service is second to none.
Location is beautiful and yet enable rapid links to Dublin city centre.
We shall never again suffer the city centre on our visits to Dublin - this is the lifestyle!!!

Can't wait to go back
The room was so big and spacious. It has a wonderful view of the town. I can't say one bad thing about the Fitzpatrick. It was a great place to stay and I would continue to stay at that hotel when I return to Ireland.
Loved it :)
