more than what you expect
Within walking distance to Dublin city. The hotel has more than the quality of a 3 star hotel. I loved it. It contains all modern facilities you need. Irish breakfast is perfect. Im a vegetarian and the restaurant offers vegetarian foods if you want to. The next door of the hotel is Starbucks! I was very happy with that. Besides the hotel restaurant, I also appreciated the hotel bar. Foods are very good. It was a pleasant stay. I don't hesitate to recommend it to my friends. |

Good value for money
I booked through gtahotels.com & got a better deal than booking through the hotel's own website. Was great value for money. Arrived a little too early to check in but receptionist was very accommodating (although not very friendly, possibly because he was very much alone - dealing with lots of phone calls, people checking in & out, requests from the car-park for people to be let in etc. Atmosphere in the evening poor & bar shut quite early, but local pubs good. Breakfast quality mediocre. Would return to use as a base for visiting Dublin |

"Great Standard"
Me and my partner had the joy of going over to Dublin over the Easter period and it was a great break.
The Mespil Hotel was some distance, 30 to 45 minute walk or a 7€ to 9€ taxi ride, from O'Connell Street where the Aircoach dropped us off. This was the only negitive about the hotel.
The Hotel on a whole was clean, modern and very welcoming with the canel over the road from it.
The room was large and was cleaned every day. The bath was also of a good size.
All the staff where friendly and didn't have to wait to be served and where always happy to help.
Great stay and great hotel only cost in total £179 for the 2 of us for 3 nights via superbreaks.co.uk
Already looking to book again to get out into the country of Ireland but if ever in Dublin again will stay here.

"fine for the price"
have stayed here several times simply due to the price and that there is wifi in the rooms.rooms are a good size, bathroom is compact but clean.there is onsite parking and overall i like it although it is a 3 star!!............so do not expect any extra frills.the only real downside is breakfast which is ok but the service is terrible.

They were wonderful. I stayed there at the begining of my trip and again at the end. They even remembered me. They were very helpful and polite. If I go back to Dublin I will definitly stay there again.

mespil
Very clean with efficient staff. tidy well decorated rooms.breakfast very good although queing system might irritate some guests as there is clearly less seats than guests.access to internet free for 30 minseach guest.
airport bus does not stop here but stops only 5mins walk away.note active prostitutes next to canal and nearby garage at night might intimidate some people. |

"A nice hotel"
enjoyed my stay here. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and professional. Although not in the center of town, was a short walk in. The restaurant was also nice.

"Good spot for business"
Spent a night here last week. It's a nice location in a pleasant residential area in the south of the city. A 15 min walk brings you to St Stephens Square and on to Grafton Street. Rooms are simple, but also large, clean and well equipped. For a business trip its a good quiet spot to be, though perhaps a little far from the fun of the city. Staff are helpful and pleasant.

"Good, I would go again"
My wife and 20 month old son went to check out Dublin over columbus day weekend and had a good time. Mespil won't stick out in my memories as being one of my favorite hotels, but it was quiet and clean and friendly. It isn't close to the center of Dublin, but having said that, we could walk from the center of town to the hotel (passing through St Stephens Green park) in 1/2 hour. Many of the hotels in downtown get loud late at night on weekends so if you're an old fuddy-duddy or have a young child, consider the Mespil.
